Kerry London and the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) formed a partnership in 2010 to help flat owners understand the insurance implications of a freehold acquisition.
We have an exclusive arrangement with the members of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) to provide a range of insurance products for our clients in the enfranchisement sector. Leasehold enfranchisement is the process you go through to either extend your lease, purchase a share of the freehold (collective enfranchisement), or rectify management problems within leasehold properties. Buying the freehold of a building requires a great deal of planning, and there are many legal and technical issues to consider. Once formed, the new freehold company will be responsible for managing a building, including its insurance arrangements.
