Leading lights assemble for Kerry London’s 30th
Captains of construction joined leading figures from the insurance and manufacturing industries to celebrate the 30th anniversary of city broker Kerry London Limited.
Founded as Kerry London by Joe Kelliher in 1986 with just three employees, the company is now part of Kelliher Insurance Group which is one of the top 50 brokers in the UK and employs 150 staff at four sites in the City, Godalming, Watford and Isleworth.
Specialising in broking policies in the construction, manufacturing, healthcare, property and sport and leisure sectors, the group encompasses four brands – alongside Kerry London the others are Trade Direct, Self Build Insurance and Kerry London Underwriting.
Kerry London is also a Lloyd’s Registered Broker, reflecting its status in the market and giving the company’s clients access to markets normally enjoyed only by larger firms.
Now under the leadership of new CEO Imogen Coggan, the group has developed plans to expand in its specialist sectors, focusing on development of its people for controlled company growth. The business aims to turn over £20m by 2020, up from £14.4m in 2015.
The 30th anniversary event was held at Langan’s Brasserie Hall of Fame in London’s West End on the evening of Thursday September 29th.
Guests included former England rugby internationals Jeff Probyn and Paul Rendall, alongside leading figures from construction and insurance industries.
Imogen Coggan said:
“This year saw the launch of our five-year vision plan which involved significant investment and focuses on organic growth. Although we are still in the initial phase of the plan, so far we are well on track and we have a very positive outlook.
“It’s an exciting time for everyone at the company as we plan initiatives to help us achieve significant growth and increase our profits.
“Over recent years we have transformed our business and continue to strengthen the foundations for achieving our ambitions. There is still a lot of hard work ahead of us to deliver a company where everyone works together towards the best outcome for the customer. The aim is to make Kelliher Insurance Group a business recognised by insurers and other brokers for its professionalism and integrity and by customers for its market leading status in our key sectors.
